PhD Candidate for project in the Netherlands: The departments of Applied Earth Sciences (AES) and Earth Observation Science (EOS) of the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC)/ University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands, have a vacancy for a PhD Candidate m/f, to work on a project entitled “Infrastructure monitoring and NaTech disaster response with drones and machine learning”. Projects


ICEX Vives

ICEX Vives is a project promoted by ICEX Spain Export and Investment, whose objective is to provide young talents with the opportunity to gain professional experience abroad through internships in international companies. This opportunity allows participants to develop key skills in global environments, improve their employability, and contribute to the internationalization of Spanish companies. The project is aimed at university graduates and master's students who meet the established requirements, offering them the opportunity to complete internships with financial support in international destinations. EO Excellence Award 2026 – Nominations open until 10 December 2025


The EO Excellence Award Team is pleased to announce the launch of the 5th round of the EO Excellence Award, recognising outstanding early-career researchers and teams who are driving innovation in the field of Earth observation.
Presented by the European Space Agency (ESA), this prestigious award celebrates individuals and teams who are advancing the scientific use of Earth observation data to tackle global challenges, expand our understanding of the planet, and inspire future breakthroughs.
Whether you are pioneering new methods in EO yourself, or know someone whose work deserves recognition — now is the time to submit a nomination. What the award offers:
• A research grant of up to 35,000 Euro for the individual winner
• Up to 65,000 Euro for the winning team
